' Guiro Tropical'
Linocut ~ Image Size/Tamano:  6"x4"/12cm x 10cm
Edition/Edicion:  75

I've finished printing my contribution to the Baren Forum Exchange #49.  They go in the mail today.  I've been working with Zentangle images and this is the second of a series of ten.  The guiro is a typical tropical musical instrument, made out of a gourd and incised with ridges.  To make a rhythmic sound, the musician uses a stick and rubs along the side, making a loud rasping.

I bought a couple of barens but haven't yet used them. Looking at your work is inspiring!

Don't be shy... You'll find printmaking has a definite learning curve but quickly gotten over the top, it's very rewarding.
