The Rio Grande Nature Center has wonderful paths that take you under the old cottonwoods to the river. In June most of the native flowers have already bloomed but there are still elegant remnants.

El Centro de Naturaleza del Rio Grande tiene senderos agradables que nos dirijen debajo de los viejos algodones al rio. En Junio la mayoria de los flores nativos estan ya florecidos pero quedan algunos restos elegantes.

Diane you took some stunning photos on your trip! What a beautiful area the southwest is! At first I thought the flower one was an exotic dandylion. That would be a wonderful one to paint!

What a lovely picture. Dandylions are just about my favorite. And it would make a nice painting or print.

Thanks, Lynnie and Janey. This dandelion just screamed 'photograph me'. It was bigger, over two inches in diameter, than I've usually seen. It may show up as a painting or a polyester plate print... hmmm... You've both gotten me thinking creatively.
