My blog has been quiet much too long but I have been very busy in the studio. 'The Boat' is my contribution to the typography theme exchange of the Baren forum. I just received my set of prints and am delighted to see such variety from so many talented printmakers. Soon the entire collection will be posted and you will be able see the collection here.

Years ago, while posted in the Middle East, I picked up an applique tapestry with this image in the Cairo cloth souk (market). Typically this type of art is an artistic version of a verse from the Koran. Unfortunately the seller did not know what it said but if there are any of you out there that do know, please comment.

Thank you... I was really pleased with the results.

And, Annie, your cutting of that whole piece of wood full of letters was my inspiration to go ahead and just 'do it'... Thanks.
