Vermont at Dusk... This is my favorite photo from our vacation as it seems to capture the beauty of the foliage and the weather. It has been overcast and rainy most of the time and the locals lament the lack of color this year. However, being accustomed to lush tropical green all year, this is a glorious experience for us non-locals...

Hi Diane,

You're not far from me if you're in Vermont! It's true, the foliage is much less vibrant than usual, but the dusky colors have their own beauty. Lovely photo.

Oh, Annie... It's beautiful here in Waitsfield. Your are so right about the dusky beauty. Unfortunately both my husband and I find it a little chilly since our blood has thinned quite a bit from years in the Caribbean. Where we are staying is so very rural and restful that we have to force ourselves to leave each day for a tourist jaunt over to Burlington, where my daughter and husband live.

Oh, yes! That Northern foliage. Autumn in the tropics just doesn't quite "do it" for me!

Nor me, Dinah... although it is beautiful here, it's easy to forget what season we are in. I've just downloaded my camera and will post the 'winners' later today.
