Woodcut "He Who Lies Late...", image 4"x4", cut from cherry and printed with oil-based inks on masa paper. This was my contribution for the 30th Baren Forum Print Exchange. The inspiration was Mother Goose's "Cock Crow":

Cocks crow in the morn
To tell us to rise,
And he who lies late
Will never be wise;
For early to bed
And early to rise,
Is the way to be healthy
And wealthy and wise.

Grabado en madera "El que duerma tarde...", imagen 10cmx10cm, fue hecho en cereza con tinta de oleo en papel masa. Fue mi contribucion al 30mo Intercambio de Grabados de Baren Forum. La inspiracion viene de una poema de Mother Goose, la cual dice que el dormilon nunca llegara a ser sano ni rico ni sabio.

Really nice! I like the hair, the cropping, the way the shoulder and then the mountain of bedcover all bear down and seem to trap the sleeper in sleep. Zzzzz.
