I wish you all a safe New Year's Eve...
In Puerto Rico we are in the middle of the season's festivities. New Year's Eve is traditionally spent partying and making a lot of noise when midnight arrives... with firecrackers and, in the countryside, fire arms. Because each year so many innocent lives are lost from falling bullets, the Puerto Rican police has started a very strong safety campaign island-wide on television and elsewhere.
This sign is up at our nearby toll booth. It says: 'This Christmas give a gift of the future! Not one more bullet into the air!'
I'll let you know tomorrow morning if it was a quieter New Year's Eve!

Annie... Thank you, the very same back to you!

Sharri... Yes, I only heard fireworks last night and not firearms. Have a wonderful 2007!
